Father’s Day in Špindlerův Mlýn was all about shared experiences – the kind that stay in your memory far longer than any gift.
What was the Father’s Day weekend like?
Some memories are not created during life’s biggest moments. They are not born at celebrations or special occasions. Quite often, they appear almost unnoticed – during a weekend spent together, when there is finally enough time simply to be with one another.
That was exactly what this year’s Father’s Day at Amenity Hotel & Resort Špindlerův Mlýn was all about. A weekend dedicated to dads and their children, where the aim was not performance or a programme packed from morning until night. It was about shared experiences, laughter and moments that often fade into the background during the usual pace of everyday life.
The mountain environment has a special ability to help with that. To slow things down. To draw attention away from phones, work commitments and endless to-do lists. To create a space where the simplest thing becomes the most important – time spent together.
During the weekend, dads and their children enjoyed not only relaxation in the wellness area, but also some friendly competition in a bowling tournament, encounters with animals in the mini zoo, adventures in the rope park, rides on the bobsleigh track and a variety of other activities. They all had one thing in common: the genuine joy of being together.
Psychologists have long pointed out that the quality of the relationship between parent and child is not built through exceptional gifts, but above all through shared experiences. Time spent together helps strengthen trust, a sense of security and memories that children return to long after the event itself has ended.
That is why sports sessions were also part of the weekend. The day began with a gentle morning warm-up, while later there was time for a proper workout, with children exercising alongside their dads – or even volunteering to become extra weight during a run uphill.
The Krkonoše Mountains provided the backdrop, but the people created the real value
Participants took home photographs, tournament medals and small souvenirs. But the most valuable things could never fit into an album. Laughter during a game, conversations together, moments of rest and the simple feeling of having time for one another.

And that is exactly what this year’s Father’s Day in Špindlerův Mlýn was about. Shared experiences that last far beyond a single weekend and remain in our memories for much longer.
